Nicci Cloete

I’m a a life coach, mindfulness trainer, yoga teacher & retreat facilitator. Don’t get me started about leadership, breathwork or addiction recovery…

Working with clients including Woolworths Financial Services, Food Lovers’ Market, Visa and Dentsu SSA, I leverage mindfulness to coach great leaders into becoming exemplary leaders who uplift personal lives, organisations, communities and the world.
Mindfulness practices have played a pivotal role in my life since my twenties, but most significantly over the last decade. A robust morning routine and a commitment to prioritising my own self-care are the bedrock to my ongoing long term recovery from addiction and early childhood trauma. I believe in the value of taking a holistic approach to any personal development journey, in order to bring about meaningful and sustainable positive change.

The tools of yoga, meditation and breathwork, along with a deep reverance for the natural world, and a host of phenomenal teachers, coaches and guides over the years, have all enabled me to trust the possibility of embracing life even in the face of great adversity.

Coaching consolidates my lifelong interest in human behaviour, psychology and wellness with 15+ years’ experience working at senior levels within corporate and non-profit globally.
To paraphrase Thoreau, I have an unwavering belief in our ability as humans to consciously elevate our lives – individual and collective – through intentional endeavor.
My approach is to underpin time-honoured coaching methodologies with accessible mindfulness practices including yoga, meditation and breathwork, to support and expedite the process of positive change.
The teachings are brought to life on the silent retreats that I facilitate in places of natural beauty across South Africa and Namibia.
An aspiring trail runner with a penchant for good coffee and wide open spaces, I live in Stellenbosch with my two children and rescue cat called Unico Jinx. I draw energy from the ocean and peace from the mountains, and count my blessings that I have access to both and the health to explore and enjoy them.
