Facilitated Retreat: The Wild Mind
With Casparo Brown
October 9 - 11, 2020
Remembering where we have come from
Can we perhaps learn and gain something from our not so distant Hunter/ Gatherer Ancestors and their natural role of caretakers?
We will live together as a little band for two days, cook on the open fire and sleep outside under the stars. The course will be a combination of hands on practical based skills and deep talking about our current situation and a way forward .
We will explore the following practical earth skills and themes:
-
Fire by friction techniques, the bow drill and the hand drill and how humans became ‘unbound’ by fire
-
The world of hide tanning
-
Tool making
-
Why we should actually call them Gatherer/Hunters
-
The art and science of tracking
-
Cultivating ecological intelligence and deep nature awareness
-
The story of inter-being
