Together we hold ourselves in the present and celebrate the start of a new year, and welcome the truth that we are always beginning in each moment. Through the principles of yoga and meditation, movement medicine, nourishing our physical and emotional health and finding connection to the whole we hope to cultivate a sense of freedom and adventure with which to begin our year. All while surrounded by beautiful South African nature.

We will spend six nights and six days together eating local organic food lovingly prepared by the residents of Bodhi Khaya, giving back to the land with mindful service, walking in nature within fynbos-sprinkled hills and when our skin is warmed by the summer sun, there is wild swimming to enjoy and stars to gaze at as the nights draw in. All levels of yoga practitioners as well as beginners are welcome, this is an inclusive retreat and all sessions can be adapted to allow everyone to practice wherever they may be in their bodies.

The retreat program will include: Sunrise dynamic yoga • Sunset restorative & yin yoga • Daily mindful service • Creative inner exploration and meditation sessions • An evening of sound healing • Essential oils integrated into practices • A Saturday night celebration and cacao ceremony under the stars

All sessions are optional, you are welcome to relax at any time in the amazing retreat centre and nature.

Talitha is a teacher originally from South Africa now based in London for the past eleven years. Ellie is a dedicated and experienced yoga educator and founder of the Lisbon Yoga Institute in Portugal. They have been close friends since they met in Ellie’s teacher training in 2016 and have since been joyfully running together in Spain, Portugal, Sweden and the UK.

Together we offer in-depth and explorative journeys in dynamic, restorative and yin yoga as well as multiple facets of meditation and creative forms of internal enquiry. Combined we bring a wealth of knowledge, playfulness and creativity to explore the body, the internal universe and our connection to the whole.

To bring this new year yoga and meditation retreat to you in Talitha’s home country, and such a beautiful setting as Bodhi Khaya, will be a magical creation.
