Join Liesl Kruger for a 3 day medicine retreat, exploring the themes of Acceptance, Joy and Liberation. The weekend will include 2 medicine ceremonies, as well as a sweat lodge, time in nature, nourishing food, the opportunity to connect with like-hearted people and time alone to dive into the depths of your being. The ceremonies will take place in Bodhi Khaya’s purpose built Maloca, surrounded by the sounds and smells of nature.

About Liesl Kruger

Liesl has been involved with plant medicines for about two decades and started facilitating ceremonies about 12 years ago, after being invited to do so by her teachers and elders. She has been to Brazil and Mexico numerous times for training and to workwith the medicines.

She has extensively studied the teachings of North, Central and South American shamanism and plant medicines, as well as that of the Red Path and Sacred Fire and she leads shamanic plant journeys and ceremonies on a regular basis.

Her training and work comprise the following –

• Traditional shamanic journeys with Ayahuasca in the Huni Kuin/ Kaxinawa tradition, which includes the medicines of Rapé, Sananga and Kambo.

• Ceremonies in the lineage of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan (working mainly with Peyote) – She leads sweat lodges, medicine sweat lodges and Four Tobacco ceremonies, and am a pipe carrier, vision quester, sacred dancer, and counsellor and ordained medicine woman of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan. She received the blessings to facilitate the ceremonies of sweat lodge, medicine sweat lodge and Four Tobacco from her teacher and chief of the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan in Mexico.

• In the lineage of the Sacred Fire, Three Tobacco ceremonies with Ayahuasca.

• Work in the tradition of the Santo Daime from Brazil where they work with Ayahuasca (Daime) and she has been a participant and member for approximately 15 years.

• She has been facilitating works with the medicines of Los Niños (sacredmushrooms) and San Pedro for approximately 15 years.
